Winter Solstice 2022

Tomorrow, 21st December 2022, at 21:49 GMT is the Winter Solstice.

This is the moment the Sun moves from Sagittarius into Capricorn and the Sun has reached its lowest point in the sky; at long last, for those of us in the Northern hemisphere, the light is returning.

Naturally, this happens each and every year.

But what makes the moment special this year is that Jupiter, the planet of abundance, fertility, growth, and expansion, is also moving firmly back into Aries after having pedalled backwards into Pisces since October of this year.

Zero degrees of any cardinal sign (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn) is powerful. It is a primary reference point for those of us on earth, marking one of the four annual turning points of the Sun. It is the outward push of energy at every level.

With the Sun and Jupiter both at zero degrees in cardinal signs (and thus in square aspect to each other), the outward push of energy is very strong.

It marks new beginnings, enthusiasm, and confidence.

It’s time to take a risk (Aries) at something you feel passionate about.  If you’re willing to put in the hard work (Capricorn) to make it happen then because the square aspect is one of physical manifestation, there’s more than the usual chance it will.

Remember that rarely do any of us succeed purely on our own merits. Teamwork is implicit in this energy. Now is the time to trust not only in your own future but also in that of your fellow man.
