With both the Sun and Moon in Cancer (cold/wet) it’s going to be a Phlegmatic couple of days until the new Moon at 26 CA 14 on the 16th of July, 1:25 AM, GMT.
As you may recall, humoural theory is based on the ancient and medieval physiology and medicine as expounded by Empedocles, Hippcorates, and Galen – it’s all to do with the four block or ‘roots’ of the material world that manifest in certain humours and their related temperaments:
ELEMENT | QUALITY | HUMOUR | TEMPERAMENT
Fire | Hot/dry | Yellow Bile | Choleric
Earth | Cold/dry | Black Bile | Melancholic
Water | Cold/wet | Phlegm | Phlegmatic
Air | Hot/wet | Blood | Sanguine |
Earlier (27 June), we had another Phegmatic couple of days when the Sun was in Cancer and the Moon in Scorpio. But because Mars is the classical ruler of Scorpio, that time was characterised by getting bogged down by your feelings.
This time its going to be different.
This is because whilst Mars imparts a martial or war-like atmosphere and hence a feeling of being at odds with one’s feelings, the Moon in Cancer is in its sign of rulership. Hence it is more than capable of supporting your feelings – indeed it enhances them in a good way.
All this is making way for that new moon which symbolises a time to plant seeds for the future, to open the door to the energy you need to pull into your life to make it all happen.
The new moon in Cancer is a good time to commit to those personal goals that not only honour your deepest, most intimate feelings but also support your personal security and safety.
From now until that new moon, you have a opportunity to get ready.
