On 21 August 2017, a total solar eclipse (28 Leo 52) darkens the United States from Oregon to South Carolina.

What might we expect to happen?

Star lore associated with Leo offers interesting clues:

• Heroes (Gilgamesh, Oedipus, Orion) wrestling with lions,
• Courage, invincibility, command and power,
• Kings and leaders,
• Fire – hot/dry – fingers get burnt,
• Dramatic, craves attention,
• Quick anger, spare diplomacy.

It that’s not enough, transiting Uranus (28 Aries 23 – retrograde) is also closely tied in with this. Uranus disrupts everything that it touches. It is a lightening bolt from the blue. Serious change in any direction and on a major scale.

Both the eclipse and transiting Uranus will make close aspects to Mr Trump’s natal Mars (26 Leo 47). This will be a power surge – provoking a crisis of some sort. Whether for good or evil, we can’t know in advance. But we do know that the effect of the eclipse can be felt for as long as six months prior and one year afterwards.

We also know that with his natal Mars in Leo, Trump’s ego is tied up with action such that anything he undertakes becomes a source of great personal pride; when all goes well with such undertakings, the world is bright. When all does not go well….  let’s just say things might get difficult.

Mars operates like a personal guard dog – protecting Trump’s home, reputation, family, defining his personal boundaries. When an eclipse makes an aspect to natal Mars, the watchdog is stirred up and straining at his leash; advice for Trump, take what’s yours, but just make sure no one gets hurt.

Will anyone get hurt?

Both this eclipse and transiting Uranus will also closely aspect the Moon (27 Aquarius 10) in the natal chart of the United States of America.

For a national chart, the Moon denotes the common people, women generally, crowds, and all matters of a common or public nature. The position of the Moon in a mundane chart will show where the public’s attention falls.

For the United States, this will be the 3^rd house –effects inland transit, communication, such as railways, road and river traffic, cars, etc. All means of disseminating news and information – i.e. communication networks, Internet, newspapers. The 3^rd house also rules neighboring nations.

No one can tell in advance what will happen. This is the nature of both eclipses and Uranus transits. But for what it’s worth, I’m putting my money on some sort of frenzied, angry, ego-driven communication made by Trump that will seriously disrupt /alter the position of the United States re: its neighbours, Mexico and/or Canada.

Spare the diplomacy.
